Funemployed.

At the beginning of the summer I *for sure* did not expect to be leaving the company for which I've spent my entire adult life working, but here I am. Let me be clear, it's a good thing. Truly an opportunity I could not pass up, and the reason why I'm finally starting this blog for which I've owned the domain for at least ten years. TEN YEAAARS.

Work never got in the way of my passions - travel, books, drinks (beer and wine mostly), and food. However...I now have some uninterrupted time to take off and do all those things, and now I also have no excuse to not take the time to talk about them. So, I hope you'll join me on this new adventure of mine and follow along as I travel and blog and, well, we'll see where things go! You'll see this site evolve as I spend more time on it, so don't be surprised if the look and feel changes a bit over time. I'm diving in head first and planning on learning along the way.

First up...a trip on the Amtrak Auto Train for myself and my Honda CRV as I visit family before heading on a road trip around New England and eastern Canada.
